Shield Plus 15-round Magazine

Has anyone tried the new 15-round magazine for the Shield Plus?

I picked up one just ahead of the now-statewide IL AWB (aka Protect IL Communities Act .. how Orwellian) but have not yet gotten to the range.

I have bought 2 and they function great.
I was able to get 15 rounds in them and the last 2 are hard to get in but my 13 rounders are hard to get the last 2 in as well.
I will say that I have large hands and it transformed my Shield Plus.
I can now get a full purchase on the grip and it has helped my groups get very tight when at the range.
A funny thing did happen when I loaded the first magazine because I loaded it with 147 grain instead of 115 and I was puzzled how only 2 more rounds would make my pistol so much heavier. After switching them back to 115 grain it wasn't so heavy..LOL

Extra Length

Thanks for the reply. I kinda figured the extra length might help with grip.

I have two. Both function fine. 1 is easy to load the last round in by hand. One takes a loader to get the last round in.

The texture on the polymer part is VERY rough. Seems rougher than the pistol. I sanded one down over the weekend. I need to try to carry with it to see if it stops catching on my synthetic shirts after I sanded it.

Well, the sanding worked. No longer snags on my shirts
