Help! I was shooting my Shield 2.0 today and the slide locked up - I have attached pictures. I repeatedly tried to pull the slide back (with the safety on) and I did not budge it. I removed the magazine without any problems. I'm not certain if an empty case is hung up or a round is not chambering fully? Any ideas on how to fix this issue are most appreciated. I probably have 600 rounds through this pistol with no issues. I have used both factory ammo and reloads (I was shooting reloads today - 115 grain plated Berry's with 4.2 grains of Bullseye).

Thanks!

Probably jammed the bullet into the leade (long OAL), or not crimped enough. See if you can release the slide by pushing in on the back of the extractor while you pull the slide rearward. May need three hands for this.

Very, very carefully with a smartphone take a picture up the barrel.

So point pistol in safe direction laying on a table or desk.....and DO NOT TOUCH THE GUN. Hang smartphone camera over the front of the barrel and take a picture (with you being behind the gun). Maybe point the pistol at a lit flashlight on the same table to get light in there.

That should let you know if its and empty case or a live round. Might have to try it a few times to get a good pic.

If it is an empty round you could really yank on that thing and or push it into battery and then yank it back.

If it is a live round....Gun Smith.

Pushed on back of extractor while pulling on slide - still stuck. I confirmed there is a live round in the chamber.

Problem solved - there was a small gap where the slide was not fully closed so I very gently (with the safety on) placed a small screwdriver in this gap and pried slightly - the slide came back and was free. The round's OAL was correct however the bullet was cocked at a slight angle and not straight. I cleaned it and everything seemed to be working fine. Tomorrow I'm going to run some factory ammo through it to ensure all is in working order. This is my EDC and I only carry it with factory defensive ammunition.

Thanks for the responses!
