Let me start with its a great gun except! I live in Ma and if u ask me it's impossible to shoot this gun with a factory 10 lb trigger! And it makes me very angery that I have to spend another $100 to make a brand new gun shootable ! I can't hit a pie plate at 25 ft with it stock the trigger is impossible to pull! No I'm not a great shot but with my 9c 9-10 ring no prob with the shield lucky to hit the backstop at the range! U guys in the free state how do u feel the factory trigger is compared to the apex kit! Cause here there is a world of difference u know a 5 lb difference! All I want to do is make it 6 -7 lbs but can't its 10 or 5 ..... Well thanks sorry for the rant .. i had to vent or get rid of the gun. Ordered the apex kit today and when I get it in ill be happy and forget about the irritating situation. !!! Thanks guys....Jay

I think it's all a matter of control on your part. Dry-fire practice can't hurt either. I have peripheral neuropathy and both hands are weakened considerably, but I have no trouble accurately shooting my son's Sigma with the notoriously horrible trigger. If you go through life expecting every gun to have a trigger like a $3,000 custom 1911, then you will constantly be disappointed.

Honestly the trigger on mine is damn near excellent. I wouldn't want it any lighter for a carry piece. Its surprised me a couple times shooting already, I had to make sure I didn't have a 1911 in my hand.

Call Apex and check with them, they might suggest a different spring combo that can raise it up from 5 to 6.5 or so. Honestly I think you would love the 5 pound pull, it is not that much softer pull than the stock pull. It is definitely not a dangerous low of pull, if that is what your worried about. I reduced my pull from 6.5 to 4 pounds, and that pull weight is perfect for me.

I get your vent and am glad I don't live in MA. The real gun nuts are the idiots who write such stupid laws.

I agree with this, I also have peripheral neuropathy and my right hand has been described by my doctor as having profound weakness. Yet with lotsa practice both dry fire and live fire I can still shoot my 442 accurately. I've outshot my buddy at 25 yards. He used a Springfield XD .45 Tactical and I used my snubby. I needed both hands to support the gun but I did pull the trigger with the index finger of my right hand.

Again it may be perfect however urs is 6.5 lbs in my lovely state it's 10 lbs

Jason, I think it's time to move. Ten pound trigers are the straw that should break the camel's back.

Well, if I had a trigger pull gauge I could tell you what the still stock trigger pulls are on my M&P 9c and M&P 45c, neither of which I have a problem shooting with the standard magazines.

Be glad you don't own any DA/SA pistols.

Move an hour or so north to NH...that's what I did after Harshbarger determined that a Colt needs to meet the same standards as a toaster for "Consumer Safety" I hate that freakin state! No offense as I spent almost 40 years of my life being raised there but the first chance I escaped to the Live Free or Die state. If my job wasn't in MA I'd never step foot in that state again if I could help it.

I do feel for you guys though...it sucks.

I know what ur saying ... Ill bet ur guns had a 7 lb trigger or lighter its just this stupid state.! Everything has to have a 10 lb trigger to be Ma compliant so every company has to make a special gun and have it tested to be able to sell it here also 10 rounds max in the gun if made after 98 so ur full size mp in ma can't have a 15 round mag! They have to make special mags for this **** hole!

Don't forget to mention that each company needs to submit a weapon they want to sell in MA to a "drop" test. So a lot of companies are saying screw that...so hence a lot less guns to choose from in MA. I don't blame Wilson Combat saying that they don'r want to have a 2K firearm dropped on concrete to prove it won't go off.

I have a number of the Glocks...some where made prior to October 1998, others made after. The pre October Glocks are fine safe, non scary completely legal to sell firearms...One made in November of 1998 is an evil unsafe mass killing illegal to sell weapon of destruction.

I kid you not people....who the F comes up with these dates??? I feel for the people of MA. In NH any firearm from any company under the sun available to us. Problem is a lot of the left wing liberal garbage is starting to flood Southern NH with their "values" so the demograph of the state is slowly getting worse and worse. As our recent elections show...thank God for Kelly Ayotte is all I can say.

You got that right. That and the "sheeple" that vote these people in.
Problem is...the "sheeple" are like locust and migrate to fine states and then destroy them.

See NV, AZ, CO, VA to name a few.

I cannot believe that Perry (gov TX) went to CA to woo businesses. Really? What to change TX from red to blue? sheeez!

Oh, how could I forget? Does a Kel-Tec P-11 count as a compact gun with a 10-lb. trigger pull?

I could put all ten shots into a paper plate at 15 yards. Was it a pleasure to shoot? No, but it carried well and I practiced with it enough (both dry and live fire) to overcome the long heavy trigger pull. I controlled it, it didn't control me.
