I bought a used shield w/integrated crimson trace and it had a smooth frame finish with a very aggressive grip texturing. I believe it was a 2020 made pistol. A guy locally was selling a brand new shield with integrated crimson trace (same gun) that has a sandpaper frame finish (like the plus) with a less grip texturing. I was unaware that S&W changed the frames on these exact guns. Kinda grew to liking the rougher grip.
