Bought a Shield 40 a few months ago and was very pleasantly surprised. Accurate and compared to my MP22 pistol has a very nice trigger. I found it to be a sweet shooting 40. I'm used to shooting my 9mm Kahr and LC9 so the Shield 40 really wasn't a problem for me.

I liked the Shield 40 so much, when I saw the Shield 9mm on sale today I went ahead and purchased one. Now I just have to wait 10 days...

Very nice guns. If a 45ACP comes out I'll seriously consider getting one.

Congrats on the 2nd Shield. Too bad you're in one of those 'waiting period' States.

Yes it really sucks. 10 round mags, bullet button on my Daniel Defense and AK. Gun laws are oppressive and in urban areas- totally and I mean totally controlled by 1 party from the city council on up for decades with an anti gun agenda, yet high crime and murder rates.

I was smack dab in the middle of that for years. However, once you move out to the farm areas and country side the attitudes are different, but unfortunately the urban centers with the population elect the same sort of hacks and can ram their way of thinking down the rest of the state.

Of course this has caused a lot of resentment outside the coastal and urban areas.

A few more years, I'll endure, then pack up and leave to a more gun friendly place. I'm counting the days....

In CA? Is it one with the rooster comb CLI?

Edit: OK, I see bullet_button... Welcome from SoCal.

Welcome from Norcal. Yes bullet buttons that idiotic device law abiding citizens abide by, while criminals simply ignore-along with the magazine limits.

Yeah, I have a few myself. But have a naturally featureless with my Mini 14 (but that get's too far OT).

For the rest that don't understand this "bullet_button" thing, count your blessings!

I bought my Shield last year while SSE was still in place. Mine has no thumb safety as the cherry on top.

For those that don't understand SSE, count your blessings! (again, OK I'll stop now).

Funny you mention the Mini-14. I have a naturally featureless Saiga 7.62x39. I call it an M-1 Carbine on steroids.

Every day of my Florida dwelling life! Y'all have my sympathies.
