Sorry for bugging all of you but I am new to this site. I hope that I am in the correct place. I would like to find out approximately when my revolver was manufactured or shipped. I just bought a very nice Smith and Wesson Model 19 - 7 - 357 magnum. I want to purchase a pair of wood grips and wonder if the revolver has a round or square butt, what size frame it has. The serial number for this revolver is BUE 063x. Once again I am sorry to bug you and I want to thank you for any information that you might be able to give.

Shipped late 1994. Not an oldie, but a goodie.

They didn't go to round butt 'til about 1995-1996. Yours is probably a square butt, but hard to tell it could have fallen in a transition period. Dash 7s went both ways.
Ooops sorry, it's a K-frame.
