Ok, without using the LEO area ranges, what does a good indoor range fee run in your area?

Here I can get by for $17.50 per hr per person on a daily basis
$125 for six month membership with no fee
$250 for a year membership and a guest can shoot with me for free.

Im a gold member at Smith & Wesson and this is what I get for 140 bucks a year... Non members are 20 bucks a lane.

Our only indoor range is a rimfire 50' range in the basement of the high school. Our club has Tues. evenings from 6:00 to 8:00, and we are only open Sept through May. For this we pay the ungodly fee of $15 per year for membership. We do have to pay an extra $10 for the 10 week bullseye league we run from Jan to Mar. That covers the trophy's.

Our range does have one lane that allows center-fire shooting, but no jacketed or magnum loads.
 
My current range is very pleasant, you can shoot from 8:00 AM till 10:00 PM at night on a lighted outdoor range, 25, 50 and 100 yards. First years membership costs $175, $100 initiation fee and $75 fee per year after that.

I am moving to an equally pleasant range, (moving because we are physically moving 4 hours away), initiation fee is $300 and annual dues are $100, first check you have to write is $400....

I think it is worth it because of the weekly shooting events offered by the club, and the fact is there is no other place to shoot.
Shooting ranges are getting fewer and fewer as development causes them to shut down....

Unless you have enough money to buy 15-20 acres of land were it is legal to shoot, you have to join a range. Even then, it gets boring shooting by yourself, shooting events offered by a club can be great fun.
 
a gun shop about 20 minutes from my house is open 7 days a week and charges $9 ( no time limit) to use the indoor range
 
The indoor range I usually shoot at charges a flat fee of $10.00 per lane for the first shooter and $6.00 for an additional shooter, max one additional shooter per lane. No annual membership required. The range is open from 9:00 AM- 6:00 PM Mon - Sat and 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Sunday. They charge a reasonable fee for targets, $.25 to $2.00 depending on what target you get from the rack. You can bring your own targets if you want. Shoot any firearm you want as long as it does not go faster than 1850 FPS. The only restrictions on ammo are no AP, API, TRACER or Shotgun Slugs... Pretty much leaves you with any type/profile of lead, ball, HP, SJ and SJHP. They offer a good sampling of firearms that can be rented for a $10.00 rental fee. Rented gun can be exchanged for any other rental gun they have without having to pay another rental fee during the same visit. Only factcory new ammunition purchased from the range is allowed to be fired from their rental guns. Range has electronic target retrieval so the firing line is always hot. The firing line is from 3 yards out to 25 yards. They supply eyes 'n ears (no charge) for anyone that does not bring their own. Factory new ammunition is available at generally good prices and they also carry a local brand of factory reloads at a good price point.

For anything beyond 25 yards or faster than 1850 FPS I've got a two lane range at the farm that we just extended out to 600 yards and a four wheeler I use to reset the targets.

I belong to a club. Upfront, non refunable fee of $50.00 for openers, then $50.00 per year. Rifle and pistol targets are furnished free. I think trap and skeet is $4.00 per game.

You can do 100 yd rifle, pistol, trap, skeet, sporting clays and archery.

I've belonged over twenty years now. It just went up from $35.00 per year to $50.00.

My favorite shop charges $9/half hour and $14/hour per lane (2 shooters per lane). It's a 12 lane, 25yd range and is a pretty nice place. They also have $225 yearly membership.
 
Bartlesville, Ok. I used to drive down there to chase wild women back in the very early 60s. I was raised about 60 miles up the road in Independence. Beautiful country, the the nicest folks on earth, well at least as nice as Texas folk.

Around San Antonio, the going rate seems to be around $10.00 per gun, or $10.00 per person. Annual memberships $60-150 a year. Since I moved to the coast, my $30.00 per year club membership lets me shoot 7 days a week, dawn to dusk, on a private range with 100-200 yard rifle, 25 yard pistol, with poppers and plate rack, and a couple of clay bird throwers.

I must admit, shooting is cheaper than golf, except when you have to buy a new/old rifle or pistol.
 
There are three indoor ranges within about 10 miles of where I live. $125-$150 yearly for a single member. One range also has an optional $20 membership with $5 an hour fee and you have to buy their ammo... so I won't go there. One won't allow reloads so I won't go there either. So I guess there is really only one range.....
 
My local range "Big Darby Creek Shooting Range" cost me $100 a year for membership and then $8 per day that I shoot. Non members pay $12.50 per hour.
 
How can they call some of these places "ranges" when you can only shoot 100 yards. :confused: Out here I first sight in at 50, then 100 then its off to the steels at 300 and 400 to see if the BDC on the scope is right. There are other members at our range that gripe because our longest range only goes to 500 metres. The guys the other side of the valley shoot to 1000 yards at least once a month.:cool:

Annual membership in a member owned range $75 for a 10 lane 50' range and a key with 24/7 access.
Annual dues for outdoor facility with 25 yd pistol,125 yd rifle, & trap & skeet is $60. You get a key to the gate, but shooting Hours are day light only
 
There is a free shooting range at a nearby Penna Game Lands. It's about a 15 min drive from the house and is open sunup to sundown. Benches at 100 and 200 yd on the rifle area and a seperate pistol range with standing butts at 15, 25 and 50 yds. It can get crowded, especially in November before deer season.
I just rejoined the local Fish and Game club located 10 min away. Initiation fee is $65, then $50/year thereafter. They have a beautiful sporting clay setup, rifle/pistol range going from 25 yds out to 300 yds with covered butts and locked gate. Atmosphere is nicer and more secure.
There is an indoor pistol club right down the street that I've considered joining for $60/yr. Non-mag only, however, but .22 rifles are allowed.
