Shooting rrange fees

The pistol club I joined costs $65 per year after a $75 initiation fee. Under 65 YO's who don't participate in one work party a year are assessed and additional $35 fee.

Each range visit costs $1. Bring a non-member guest shooter and they pay $5. Targets are free. Eight indoor 50 foot lanes and 14 outdoor lanes to 25 yards. Reloads are allowed. No centerfire rifles allowed and no magnum calibers allowed in the indoor. 22 cal. rifles allowed indoors and out.

The range is open 365 days a year from 8am to 10pm indoors and 8am to dusk outdoors. Two people must be present to use the indoor range. Outdoors can be used by a lone shooter.

NRA membership is manditory for membership.

Twenty minutes from home and 5 minutes from work.

our only real range is the local izaak walton club. they have 5 traps and trap clubhouse, 25yd and 100yd pistol and rifle range. cost varies as to family size and participation ( work days). but in any case, less than $100 per yr. key to gate and can use anytime. also a nice sized lake with beach and campground and new archery range.

Local community college has an excellent indoor range. $15 for 8 visits, $40 for 30 visits. Free targets, restrictions on ammo types, sometimes closed if a class is using it. Anyone in El Paso, highly recommended. My review on TGT:

Indoor range at EPCC

Williams Gun Sight in Davison, Michigan charges $7 per day, per shooter. They offer outdoor ranges with covered shooting positions, in 100 yd, 7 yd, 15 yd, and 30 yd. They throw in two free targets with admission. An annual pass is $85, for unlimited use. The range officers will offer basic instruction and are mostly hands-off unless they detect a safety issue. Good place to shoot. Buy a gun from them and get a free day at the range. I've even left the range for lunch and come back, on the same daily fee. Proper form is to bring a milk shake back for the range officer.

The closest indoor range to me charges $20 per hour and is handgun only. It is dimly lit, poorly ventilated and filthy. There are no range safety officers and many of the clients seem to delight in shooting their semi-autos held sideways. Holes in the ceiling, sidewalls etc.. Such is the dearth of ranges in this area it always seems to draw a large crowd every day. I have not shot there in years and never will again. I do volunteer as a range safety officer at an outdoor club about 45 minutes from home so get to shoot for free whenever I want. The club charges non-members $10 to shoot for 3 hours on open days. It is very well run and we always have at least 3 RSO's working on public days. It is a safe, pleasant place to shoot The club also has a small indoor rimfire range and trap and skeet also. I enjoy working as an RSO and have met many great people and see some interesting guns. Our rules are strict but not draconian, we are committed to safety and all our shooters seem to enjoy themselves, we have very few problems and those that do arise are normally with inexperienced shooters and we work with them to insure they become safe and considerate shooters and it seems to be appreciated. I work part-time in a Cabela's gun library and enjoy seeing my customers out there shooting guns we have recommended and sold to them.
