Shooting sticks

I use two sets when 'walking while hunting for varmints'. I used 1/2" dia. hardwood dowels. The shorter set is about 30" long and is used when I expect to sit down or kneel to shoot. The longer set is 60" long and is used when standing. The dowels are tied together with parachute cord tied in a Prussic Knot on each rod. The knots are about 6" down from the top of the shooting sticks. I found that it didn't affect accuracy very much to rest the barrel of the rifle in the "X" and pull the sticks and therefore the rifle back into my shoulder with my support hand. Many Prairie Dogs and Picket Pin Ground Squirrels have been taken using my shooting sticks. .......... Big Cholla
