I have CT grips on several wheelguns and a few auto's too.
I find lasers to great for training. Dry fire, trigger control and/or management.
Then there is the (maybe not so odd) times that you may find yourself shooting from odd positions. Or when you can't or shouldn't assume the "paper shootin, on the range, arms straight out, position." From on your side, shooting over your back, upside down, whatever, you put the dot on 'em and press.
Mine are set to be right on top of the front sight at 20'.
Good, quality laser sights stay where they are set...under most conditions.
That is why you should never forego you irons. They just help in times when you just might need...help.
