Love my P238.
I didn't like the 6 rd magazine that came with it, because the grip was too short. I need my pinky engaged to feel comfortable. I bought four 7 rd mags with the pinky extension, and it became a really good shooter for me.
The night sights are excellent. Gun shoots about 1/2" above POA for me at 7 yds.
I'm over 2000 rds of RN handloads, RN PMC, Winchester Ranger HP and Buffalo Bore FP, and the only malfunction has been 1 FTF early on. I attributed that to one of the new magazines the first round out. I looked at it closely and found the lips were not quite as wide as all the others.
The gun also threw empties all over the place early on.
Examination revealed dings on the case rims.
I polished the feed ramp ever so slightly, and rounded and polished the bottom edge of the ejector where the case rim contacts it as the round rises out of the magazine.
Now the feed and ejection is flawless, the gun is surprisingly accurate, and pleasant to shoot even with the very hot Buffalo Bore ammo I use for carry.
I only wish the P938 had come out the same time, instead of a couple years later so I could comparison shop. There's only about 1/8" difference in size, but recoil could be enough more to make me prefer the P238. I doubt I'll change now, having invested a bunch in reloading equipment and supplies for .380.
