NSSF just released today SHOT scheduled for January 2021 is cancelled.
SHOT show is a no go this year.

I wonder if say the regular freakin flu will ever cancel it? Oh, right, the Election Virus is almost over!! Beware of this happening in 2024 & 2028 as well!
Bummer. Now we'll never know what guns we're not going to get next year.

I've been to about twenty SHOT Shows in the last forty years. There is alway some new stuff, but much is not new. If you make the show every two or three years, you really lose out on little or nothing.

Vegas Antique Arms show will probably announce no go as well shortly. 2020 has surely sucked.

And, worst of all, they have cancelled the Southwest Bunch BBQ dinner. Ha.

...and Las Vegas takes another gut-punch. Also in the news: 2 casinos laying off additional staff. One, having already laid off 700 positions, now cutting 130 more. The 2nd house: 230. Both sets of layoffs will begin on December 23rd: Christmastime.
There are 2 "rah-rah boys" out here, consultants, who are liberally quoted for sunshine and lollipops predictions about the viability of LV. Even these people see no hope of recovery until 2022 or even 2023.

This week I should be at the AAPEX/ SEMA show but it was canceled. It took up the entire Sands and LVCC - first one in 22 years I won't be at. I know the upcoming CES is canceled, the National Hardware show this year was canceled as well as many others I am not familiar with.
I'm heartbroken for the workers who depend on those conventions.

Well I've already paid close to 2k for Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I am a rider in a super secret carnival organization that must not be named that parades on the Friday night before Fat Tuesday and follows the Krewe of Hermes that is known for biting satire, no ball and a whopping pre parade luncheon-the rumors of the goat and new members are complete heresy
If they cancel parading there are gonna be a bunch of old white guys with a ****-load of beads trinkets and other swag with no place to go
