I have been searching the web for a simple plastic type 20 gauge, 6 shell holder that I can screw mount to the butt stock. All I can find are side saddle holders, aluminum backed, drilled for specific guns at high prices.

Does anyone know where I can find a simple screw on, 20 gauge, 6 shell holder at reasonable prices? I have even tried Midway and Brownells.

Thanks

I am not familiar with ridged butt stock shell holders. I use the elastic slip over shell holders, they usually hold 5 rounds of shotgun. To hold them in place I make a hole for the sling swivel stud to go through (weather you use a sling or not). I have a very fancy/tacticool butt pouch that has a soft cheek piece, accessories pouch and shell holder all in one. I had my seamstress/wife redo the loops and went from 5-12 gauge loops to 8-375 H&H loops, and used it on a big game rifle. The pouch held a take down steel cleaning rod (for stuck cases and bullets) and cleaning kit with a few tools.

All my pump guns have the sleeves on them. New they are $5-8, used $2-3. Ivan

Ivan, thanks for the reply. I am very familiar with the stretch on sleeves. I have used them since the 1970's, and found that all get loose after usage. Then they slip around on the butt. In a HD situation, that is very bad.

Some one in this world must make a thermo plastic or like that gets screwed on and is cheap. I dont want to spend more for a shot shell carrier than I spent for this old well used 870, yet functions perfect.

THANK YOU. Exactly what I hoped to find, exactly.
I did not know Amazon also sold firearms accessories.

Thanks

Try a search on Amazon. They have severial different types. Looks like this one is what you want.

For my own use I have never had a need for a stock sleeve. I would have a hard time actually screwing some accessory to a beautiful wood stock. But then again there are people out there that like GMG trucks when we all know that a Ford is better.;)

I agree on screwing stuff on a beautiful stock/gun.
However this Rem 20ga 870 was never taken care of. The bluing is worn bad, stock has deep gouges, But mechanically, its fine. Just ideal for HD with modifications.

And once again, I agree that Ford is better than GMC, but we all know that Dodge Trucks Rule ha ha ha ha
