Anyone have any experience with the Galco executive shoulder holster for their Jframe? Have a 649 and was wondering how well they fit and work?

Just having an impossible time finding OWB rigs that don't print. Grips in here are just for show. Using small boot grips and still can't get it right. Since I wear a sport jacket or suit much of the time, thought the shoulder rig idea would be a good choice, (especially with an all steel heavier gun).

Thanks! Oh, here's the obligatory gun porn pic!

Andrews Monarch ... There is nothing else that compares from my experience with J-frame shoulder rig carry.

shoulder holster for hammerless

the old bianchi and safariland upside down hold the gun at the triggerguard. you can find them for very little on EBAY.
The call this the Bullitt style from the Steve McQueen movie

I have a Galco Executive, and it works great with a 649. I also use it with a variety of other J Frames. I use it most often it in cooler weather when you can wear it under a jacket. It's also great when driving.

I also use a Galco Speed Paddle for J Frames, it works better when your not wearing a jacket, or when your going to have to remove your jacket. It's very comfortable, and easy on and off. Both holsters fit the J Frames perfectly, and are very well made.

Minnehaha - I just got a galco speed paddle from amazon. Not even close to a fit. Going back. Ordered the executive today. Should be here in two weeks according to the website. X fingers.

So... what are you going to do about the straps showing thru on a suit coat? Not to mention, you have to plan when and where you can take off the jacket. You're better off going with an inside the waist band holster that you can tuck your shirt over or carry it in your pocket. Not a shoulder holster fan, as you might be able to tell... ;-)
