This is my last Lawrence holster and least used. Actually unused as I am not a 1911 kind of guy.

It was a gift from a widow. She knew I enjoyed firearms and etc. Her husband got it for a 1930s Commercial 1911.

Kevin, that is a really nice 1911 holster. It is kinda cool that you can carry an extra magazine too. I have seen a lot of German full flap holsters (AKAH) that have a place for an extra magazine and a few from the "big 3", but not very many.

Wow John, I have NEVER seen a knife sheath from the "big 3" in the wild! I know I've read that Randall knives used to come in Heiser sheaths.

A laced edge chamois lined basket-weave Lawrence (with a "Cowboy" cap gun).

Lee, that is a nice one too. I see a good many smooth leather lined holsters, but not near as many chamois lined ones. I have a Heiser one.

Abercrombie & Fitch Lawrence 25L

I found this laced edge 25 interesting because of the Abercrombie & Fitch New York Stamp. Heiser made a lot of holsters for Abercrombie & Fitch but this is the only Lawrence made for them that I have had. A nice companion for my old K-22.

I have one Lawrence holster. Number is 28 and another number that is 785. Fits my N frame 4" 625 well. Got the box from a friend who was storing various after market pistol magazines in it! Sold the mags and kept the box!

As you can see, that holster has not been used much and never by me. I like my 45 ACPs as N frames.

Bill, Great Buscadero Rig. That is what I call a LOT of premium floral carving. That has almost as much carving on it as my saddle has.Can you wear it?

Here is an early Lawrence model 14 flap holster for a Colt .32 pocket auto. The maker's swastika snap indicates a pre 1930's manufacture. There are 2 holes on the flap from a US Army pin that was on it when I found it.
Larry, your model 9 holster is probably from the same period when ".22 auto" meant a Colt Woodsman.

That logo on the snap button is also known as the Navajo 'whirling logs' and appears in Navajo art including rugs and beading with the tip ends facing either way; as on the WWII symbol and also oppositely.

Recognizing nevertheless that virtually all saddlers of the late 19th and early 20th century were Germans especially Heiser. As were many Confederates and the Texas Rangers who were recruited from the Confederacy.

Heiser offered a 'spotted' holster using the whirling logs decoration:

I have a mix , the belt

and holster on top is a Lawrence set.

They each housed a Ruger Buckeye Special.
This is one of my favorites, my Dad bought the gun and holster together and I've carried it for years , live this holster.

Geo Lawrence 79B Gunslinger-Mint

I found this Gunslinger rig in my storage and decided to research it. Appears to be for an O/M Blackhawk .44 mag. My Blackhawk is about 25 years "gone" Unfortunately both were not on the scene at the same time.
Anyway, here are some photos showing it's pedigree.

I scored the Bianchi Old Army I was searching for on ebay so this Gunslinger rig is being listed for sale now.. Sorry for the confusion

That looks to be a Gunslinger. I had a gunslinger 2( lower ) to go with my super black hawk. I got it in the 70's. # 2 son has the gun and the holster now

A favorite of mine, this beautiful holster fits an old Colt Woodsman perfectly.

A combination pocket and belt holster for a 5" .357 Magnum-that's a big pocketful !
Stamped with the Stoeger logo. These were often worn with a belt run through the loop and the body of the holster in the back pocket. The only one I've seen with the Stoeger logo.

Here is a very scarce George Lawrence made U.S. Model of 1916 holster for the M1911 .45 pistol. It was made in WWI. During that war Lawrence also made other leather equipment for the U.S. military including rifle slings and rifle scabbards.

That is very COOL, Charlie. I didn't realize Lawrence made military leather. I wonder why the Makers Mark is so plain, and not one of the regularly used ones?
