To those of you with Ahrends on your J frames, is the cut-out of enough size to clear a speedloader?

Sir, here's my first and only J-frame, a Model 49. Ugly little thing, but it shoots just fine.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

Well, nobody will look this far into this post but here goes with my contribution!

That is showing off, maybe someday my collection will grow. Until then I only have the one. 438 Bodyguard, born in March of this year... purchased as a "happy birthday" to me.

I'm craving some gun porn of your J frames. Show me some pics and tell me some stories.

Here are three of mine. From the top; early 80's Model 49, early 90's model 442, Model 340 PD with flag for internal lock removed.

I have a 3" skinny barrel model 36 with a finish like yours Ron H. I always debate whether it should be made to look better - but then I like what it looks like already.

sorry no picture

I wouldn't change a thing. I thing she looks great just like she is. I see a gun that is loved enough to be carried everyday of it's life. Does not look abused, just well used.

My three J frames

There are a lot of nice J frames shown on this thread. Here are my three - models 60, 36 and 642 from left to right. Plus a shot of the 60 by itself:
