Show me your 19s!

Here is my 1974 19-3 I found this weekend. Can't wait to take her out.

WOW... what a 19 love fest! Lots of beautiful 19's here.

This is one of mine, a 4". It's still LNIB. I need to scrounge around to find the pics of my favorite, a 2.5".

1979 19-4 Nickel 4". I used this in a law enforcement firearms instructor class early last year (we had to use both revolver and semi-auto). I had had it for a couple of years but not shot it too much. After that school I was impressed and confident with it and decided I would carry it at work from time to time. Then they changed the policy and I have to carry what they issued

actually up in the classifieds on another fourm,, may move it over here in a week or so.

KKG, I can't get enough of that fixed sight 19. I've been lusting after it since I first saw it a couple of years ago. That is the perfect configuration for a revolver. I'm stealing your picture.

KKG... that really is a magnificent looking 19... the ejector shroud looks wonderful and, of course, fixed sights are so practical for defense purposes and so great looking too. Nice gun!

I'm curious. Until I saw these photos I always thought that 19s came invariably with adjustable rear sights. Obviously, I was wrong about that. So, my question is: what's the difference between a fixed sight 19 and a 13 (aside from the model number stamped on the crane)?

A "Shrouded and Full Length" Ejector Rod. Here's the other side and the important part of the Factory Letter:

Believe it or not the idea was sort of a French one but "they" wanted a 9mm and Smith concluded that wasn't a 'doable' project without moon clips. I have been told that the French destroyed all of they're guns when they went to automatics.

It's a shame that the Factory never choose to bring these out as a regular production item but then if they had this one wouldn't have cost me what it did nor would it be worth what it is today.

Wow, KKG, only two others in existence! You sure must have done a double take when you first laid eyes on yours.
This is "One of Fifty" that were over run from the contract. This one is one of the three that were in the shipment that went to Vancouver BC but even with 49 others out there some where I am very pleased to have this one around!
