Worth more than Gold huh?

Not very much compared to most of you fellas but It's mine and in my little hands:

Left: 4 boxes 9mm luger. 200 rounds total
Middle: 2 boxes 38 special, 150 rounds total, 2 boxes of 380, 150 rounds total
Right: 1 "big" box 22 LR. 325 rounds. 4 boxes 22 mag. 200 rounds.
Grand Total: Approx. 1000 rounds. I know..it's nothing compared to you guys. But I'm getting there.

Worth more than Gold I guess:

I'd have to haul it all out to the yard and take a wide angle picture. It would not be impressive at all, but it would be a very large pile. Let's just say I have more than 1,000 rounds and leave it at that. I'm not hoarding, it has accumulated over 20 years of shooting and reloading. The last time I bought ammo was about two years ago for a 100 year old .45 Colt SAA, I did not have the correct dies and did not expect to need a lot of ammo for the revolver.

All mine sank in a boating accident along with my guns....

I know how you feel. There's been a tragic series of boating accidents here on the Chesapeake in which most of the members of the Maryland Shooters forum have lost almost all their guns and ammo at the bottom of the shipping channel.

Some areas of the lake had thin ice yet, ooops. Costly mistake that was.

A lot of Texans have also experienced some very unfortunate boating accidents were firearms and munitions were lost. Happened to me, lost the boat too. Almost drowned but was rescued by a buzzard and dropped on the shore. Apparently I was too nasty for his taste.

Tragic............:(

I sold all my ammunition and semi-automatic firearms at a gunshow with no background check to complete strangers. I know they were good guys because they wore dark suits, sunglasses, and long black dress coats.
