I've had this one for a while, but finally snatched a holster for it a few days ago and decided to post pics. It's a fine tight revolver, with a lot of carry wear. Originally shipped to ZCM Wholesale in Salt Lake City, 17 July 1956. It was wearing later (broken) target grips when I got it, so no qualms about installing the set on it now, which had been sitting for quite some time in the "cool spares" drawer waiting on the perfect gun. The Heiser was a real find, in my opinion...not too many of these out there and I was thrilled to get it.

Absolutely beautiful, the gun, the grips, the holster, all of it.

I have one f about the same vintage, but mine was hard chromed at some point and was wearing good years when I got it. I added a set of elk stag grips from Pat Grashorn.

I have never been 100% sure WHAT these grips are made of. I lean toward tooth, as they are super-heavy, even relative to Sambars. I have been in love with that yellow color on blued revolvers for years, thanks to John Wayne...

Thats a great looking combination. Love the stocks and leather as well as the gun!

This gun appears to have one of the early narrow "speed hammers", which were typical of early 1950 shipped guns. I wonder if your 1956 gun has a replaced hammer? Whatever the case, it is a beautiful example of the Pre 27"s.
