Beautiful leathers all, but to Mr. Turnriver, you always have the most wonderful old holsters sir...n the guns "aint shabby" either! Mike

John the bottom flap holster is made by A. J. Williamson of Casper, Wyoming, fits a 5 & 1/2 N frame.

The top one is a Heiser.

Here's a nice Bucheimer "semi shoulder" holster I picked up today.

Early 1900's is my best guess although anytime between
1870's & 1930's is possible. I have several Iver Johnson
holsters & am sure the different logo stamps would
help date them but I don't know the difference between them.
I like those old pocket holsters.

Thanks turnerriver!

I found this info today,

The company's name changed to Iver Johnson & Company in 1883.
Then they changed the name again to Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works in 1891, when the company relocated to Fitchburg, Massachusetts.

I wonder if they changed the makers mark on the holsters to coincide with the companys name change?

That is a beauty of a holster? Who did the work?

It's one of mine. The last one I did and it should have been right handed. I cut the front piece on the wrong side and it was such a nice piece of leather I went a head and made it a lefty.
We all make mistakes sometimes, right?
Thanks for the compliment.

Here is my S&W Model 624 with Adventure Supply Outfitters N4 full flap holster. The holster also fits well with my M28-2. It kind of has that "Raiders of the Lost Ark" look to it!

Warren,

That is a great looking holster. Is Adventure Supply Outfitters still in business? Do you have a link for them?

Thanks,

Mick
