I missed the first season, caught up the second, and have been a fan since. Some of the plot lines strain real life belief, but it's been entertaining.

However, I do believe the producers have "jumped the shark", or turned so PC...

With any work of fiction, a certain amount of one's attention to reality has to be suspended. Carrie, a CIA operative was blatantly anti-Radical Islam. However, she seemed to get the job done even though she's bipolar, and purposely goes off her meds.

It seems the show has done a one-eighty. Carrie has turned full dove, and the ones in the CIA are now going rogue. They've introduced a woman President (obviously finished shooting pre-November 8), who is going to eliminate black bag ops.

Think I'll start watching something else on Sundays @ 9:00PM EST.

You can tell they wrote assuming an "alternate outcome" of the recent election. Probably won't get better this season. I give **** House $200 a month so I gotta watch. Joe

We like this show a lot. Yes, they have a female president, but so do other shows. It was a surprise, but to me, she is just another character. Since some of the other female characters have been killed or are no longer part of the show they needed to introduce new female characters, why not a president? They have given her a son she is grieving for and I am sure there will be other things that will differentiate her from HC. They might make her a villain. We don't know yet.

As for Carrie's character, I can understand her moving in another direction because she was burned out. She also cannot help herself so we all know she will return.

We have stopped watching other shows that we got bored with, but we still find this show entertaining which is what it is about, not to necessarily mirror real life. I'm still a fan.

I like it too and never miss it. I don't know if they were predicting a different outcome for the election and I don't care. I don't watch it for the politics.

Carrie has been through hell the last several seasons. Call it burnout or just sick of all the killing.

The new president has Saul and Dar VERY nervous.

I like the show because it pushes boundaries. I have not started watching season 5. I'm looking forward to that just because it was filmed in Berlin; it was just recently released for binge-watching, so I have to get on that (I have been sooo done with one episode per week for years :)) Season 4 was very blatantly and honestly anti-Pakistani and really ripped that country's government's double-play on terrorism.

I don't get anyone's hang-up about a woman president. "24" had a black president and a female president long before. If it helps tell a good story, why not? Ultimately, it's fiction.
