Regardless of Brownells inventory numbers for side plate screws
for blue N frame revolvers are they all the same ?

Are the blue K/ L frame the same as N ?

Of course I knew that, I am asking if a round or flat top
blue from a Model 19-whatever is the same as the one
on a Model 27- whatever, pre mim/lock pistols ?

As a general rule, YES is the answer. Flat top & round top, but not the 4 screw sideplate (top screw not std.)

The only difference in the yoke screw and the one next to it is possibly the length. The yoke screw is fitted for length. If it is too long it is filed down until the yoke moves freely.

screws

Maybe I am crazy but on my 686 2 1/2 I'd swear that the two plate screws have a tad difference in length. The smallest difference. One way and the plate goes on. Reverse them and a hammer wont do it.

yes, the side plate screws of an an 'N' or 'K-L' will interchange,BUT as noted above the rear one is 'flat' on the head, and the two center ,and front of the side plate will vary due to the front one ( yoke) may have been "fitted" to THAT gun, so YES, keep them in order if you remove them. When you buy them "new" like from Brownells, it may have to be "fitted" for the 'front' (yoke) screw.............and try to keep the finishes 'correct' ,blued, nickled, and stainless....;)
