Sig 10mm vs. 1006 vs. Glock 20 Gen. 4

Me too. And I have two keepers in a 1006 and 1066.

I have a 4566 and find it to be the perfect sized .45.
Makes sense, since it's about the same size as 5906 or a SIG.

About the 610, it wasn't surprising. It was N framed goodness, with that sweet N frame trigger.

Love to have them all. If $$$ wasn't the inevitable issue that it always is, I'd get the following:

1. Bren Ten Standard Model
2. Sig P220 10mm Elite DA/SA
3. Colt Delta Elite circa 1987
4. Dan Wesson Commander Classic Bobtail
5. Smith & Wesson 1006 fixed sights, large grip
6. Heckler & Koch MP5/10 A3
7. AMT Automag IV
8. Rock Island Armory 1911
9. Ruger GP100 converted to 10mm by CCG
10. Thompson Center Arms Contender
11. Springfield Armory Linkless 1911
12. Sig Sauer P220 Hunter in Kryptek SAO
13. Tanfoglio Witness CZ clone in Wonder Finish (older model, no rail)

Used to have the SA Linkless, had it converted by SA into a match grade target pistol with convention guts. Sold it, sadly. All I'm down to now 10mm wise is a S&W 610 No-Dash and a Virginia State Police issue 1076. Maybe someday VLTOR will actually build their Bren Ten clone...

I'm thinking long and hard about getting the 10mm conversion kits for my 2 .45 Witnesses. Both are from 1998 or 1999. Both are ported, standard length/full size, Wonder Finish. Both have had ambidextrous safeties installed by me. Both are pre-rail.
And, they have consecutive serial numbers.
One, is still unfired, in the box.

The Glocks feel like **** in my hands as well. They just don't fit me correctly at all and the vibration from them is way too much. The plastic slides on them flap too much when fired and cause the vibration to come thru I find. I do not have large hands but would call them medium Cadet sized.. The Glocks always slam back into my fingers and hurt a lot to shoot also.

Yeah, there's a reason there was no Glock on my list. The m20 feels like crud, has a hugely oversized grip and slide, brittle sights, rotten barrels, spongy trigger and an absolutely horrific reset. I have no use for a Glock 10mm, or any Glock model for that matter, period. They may go *BANG* every time the trigger is pulled, but that's about all they do right, IMHO. Frankly, I think they're overrated and more hype than "perfection." Just goes to show you what marketing and cheap manufacturing can do...

Hey, with all the chatter not sure my 2 cents will help but I've got a lot of 10's, 1006, 1076, 1013, Mauser M2, .40/10MM Chief Special, Dan Wesson PM-7 (going to get sold, though wonderful piece) Para LS Hunter (going to get sold) G-20's and a custom STI long slide that holds 18 rounds. I almost bought a Sig 10MM but the pistol felt very heavy (maybe heavier than the 1006?) and it held 1 less round! The Sig is a fine piece but 1 less round than the 1006, that's a no go for me. For EDC I use the 1013, everything else is for other stuff. They all are different but I like them all. I don't carry the large 10's in the woods as we have Griz and the .44 Mag is my comfort level for that. Hope this helps but in the long IMO they're all good depending on what you want them for and what you can afford. Oh, listen to Colt SSA, he knows his stuff!
Take Care keep the oily side down,
T&B

GP100 converted/molested to 10mm???
I really like that idea. I'm tempted.

Why no L frame in 10mm?
