I'm a sucker for a nice SIG P210. Whereas milsurp are plentiful here (I have three) and prices are stable, special and rarer models are always hard to find and prices are on the rise.

So this baby came up at an LGS and I couldn't resist. It's a 1979 made sport SIG P210-6 in 7.65 mm with an original adjustable SIG rear sight, with box (well a faded cardboard), manual and more importantly test target.

On January 26, 1979, Mr. A. Moser shot 10 times at 50 meters from a machine rest. Looks like a 2 inch group or so.

I also have one from 1985 in 9 mm and interestingly it was shot only six times on the test target, same distance. Maybe by then they were trying to save ammo ?

I headed straight to the 25 meters indoor range

Beautiful gun, the graphics on the ammo box made me laugh out loud !

It is the subject of countless jokes here. And I am not sure which of these two boxes is the most recent design, but clearly the male model is the same

The federal ammunition factory belongs to Ruag, while they stopped production of military 7.65 mm not long ago, they introduced this civilian line, and deliver it to the military style ranges for practice and competitions where the Swiss Luger is still allowed and used.

Beautiful P210-6. You found one in the highly sought after "improved frame" serial number range as well so that's a nice bonus. Now to hunt down some deals on extra factory Swiss made mags.

Gorgeous! The caliber is a tough sell here in the States of course. An older P210 is on my list (well, it's on everyone's list) but I don't expect to find a deal on one, ever.

Very nice

I have this P210-6 set from 1967, with the matching 30 Luger barrel and entire rimfire upper assembly. These were very rare sets and generally came with the equally rare fully checkered factory grips. It comes with test targets for each.

I also have this heavy frame P210-6 from 1975. In my opinion, the forged heavy frame models are the holy grail of Sig P210 collecting. Only a couple hundred were built and feature Sig's finest work.

Beautiful guns, I remember you posting the 210-6. Matter of fact I saved a picture of it in my computer.

LGS had a 210–5 heavy frame but it was over 5G and a 210–5 long slide, over 6G. Can't have them all.

Yeah those are the CNC Heavy Frame models, which are much more common. The Heavy Frames before the 300,000 serial number block are the rare ones and command a hefty premium.

I'm late to the party and joined this forum just for the P210 posts. I just acquired a P210-6 in 7.65 Several parts are missing and I am in the process of putting it back together in 9x19.

I am having difficulty locating a source for parts, any help is appreciated.
