I'm a big fan of Sig "P" series pistols, especially the P220. I have several variations of same, and have been looking for a compact model for a while. One recently popped up from a local seller, and because of the price and condition, I jumped on it. One plus is that it accepts 7 and 8 round mags. Just thought I'd share.

When they first introduced that gun, it was called the P245. I have one as well as two P220 45's. It uses the same IWB and small of the back holsters as a 220 as well as the nice stack of interchangeable magazines!

I love me my 220s -- and I've got two, one in 9mm and another in 45. Can't see my way clear of even looking for a compact though, as I have too many similar-sized Smiths, in 9 (CS9, 3914, 6906, etc. and 45 (4513TSW).
Here's a pic of the 9 and a pic of the .45 with what I think is a 4566 (I didn't label the pic and I'll be damned if I can remember what that other gun is.)

You've got a nice piece there. Wish I'd had kept mine. This model truly bridges that space of easy to shoot and easy to carry. Congratulations

I had one of their P220 Compact Elite SAOs (German frame, single-action only) and found it to be a pretty sweet shooting gun (despite my concerns due to the high bore axis, it recovered fine). I eventually traded it because I'm not a single-action guy, but the gun sure could shoot.

I bought one of the P220 Compact SAO guns from CDNN. While it was a very good shooter, it had 2 faults. First it was extremely top heavy which for me threw the balance off. Second, every time I went to switch out magazines, due to the shortened grip, my little finger got the **** pinched out of it. I kept the gun and still like to shoot it every now and then but it doesn't have enough points to beat out my Micro Compact SA 1911 for EDC.

I agree with you on both points. One thing that is also slightly annoying is that the mags are blocked by the base of the palm of my right when ejected and require me to reposition my hand. It is a nice shooter however, and I'm sure I'll be able to adjust my MO.
