Sig P220

$600 new? Jump on that.

$600 used? Need more details.

The SRT can be installed to a W. German made Sig P220. I did it. The only thing I won't install is the E2 grips. I'd have to replace the hammer, hammer strut, etc. I actually like the spurred W. German hammer.

Install a SRT into your 220. For the P6, drop in a SRT and a P225 main spring. Both will then stand up to a 1911 trigger. I've done it.

I detail stripped and refurbed this P6.

I'll partially agree with this. The 1911 and I never got along 100% The P220 feels just right. I then sold/traded the two 1911's I had. It's been about 2 years since I last owned a 1911, and I'm getting the itch to own just one.

Well you could always get a sig 1911 and have the best of both worlds. I have the 1911 xo, nice but I like the 220 better

By now you know the P220 is a fine firearm

I bought my first one 37 years ago and still own and shoot it. Since that day I have added several more.

When the choice is mine, I carry a P220 on my side. They are accurate and reliable.

Sig P220s have shipped in 6 different calibers over the years with a seventh (10MM Auto) about to be added next year.

As to price, without knowing condition, it is not possible to say if that is a good or bad deal or an average deal.

Basically ANY P220 in good operating and cosmetic condition is worth $600.

1st Pic top left...37 years ago..that is close to a 1st year gun!! 1978. I think the 1st came out in 1975. I am really jealous of that one. I have been looking for one of that vintage for several years. I have never seen one before.

Bought some Hogue aluminum grips for my new to me P220 two tone - they're nice!
Also, I like blacked out serrations on stainless/silver slides.
I think it came out ok...
