Has anyone shot this pistol or own one? If so, what are your feelings and comments about it. I am looking for a small 380 for every day pocket carry. I have a BG but am not happy with it ie: grip, sights and trigger. I want to stay with DA if possible.

I've shot a friends. Decent gun. OK trigger.... a little long but better feeling than an LCP or BG. My wife could keep it on target easier as she pulled the trigger compared to an LCP. Also a tad big and "chunky" compared to others out there. Really easy to rack the slide, which to me was the most impressive thing about it.

It wouldn't be on the top of my list for pocket carry but it's doable.

What would be on the top of your list? I have a BG but am looking for something else in that size range in 380acp.

For pocket carry, unfortunately I would say the bodyguard and LCP are a little better than the Sig P290RS in my opinion. It has just that little bit of extra bulk.

My current pocket .380 is a Kahr CW 380. It's a tad thinner and shorter than the LCP / BG, has good sights, and has the second best stock trigger on a pocket .380 that I have personally felt. Second only to a Sig P238 in my opinion. The only problem is, the Kahr is striker fired which you do not want.

I'd try to get your hands on the Sig P290 and give it a feel for yourself. You might have larger pockets then I have on most of my jeans. Sounds silly, but it's a big factor.

Best of luck in your search!

I've only handled one in the store.

I agree about the slide. It's VERY easy to rack.

However, I felt it was a little chunky as well compared to an LCP and wouldn't be MY choice for POCKET carry.
