Hello all. I know this is not the Sig forum, but I also know you all have interests other than S&W. I have a chance to pick up a LNIB W. German P230SL from the consignment shelf in my LGS. They want $475 for it - sound good? It came with original outer brown wrapper, hardcase, all hang tags and paperwork, and a spare mag still in it's factory wrapper. The gun itself looks so good it is hard to tell it has been fired. I put $50 on it to hold it so I can still get my money back or move my $50 to another gun.

What say all?

I just googled it and GA showed a like new one for $499. I'm a P220 guy through and through, or even a P226............JMO

I passed on one on a local forum recently at $400. While I thought that was a really good price for it, I don't care for the heel of the butt mag release and probably won't ever own one unless I steal it at a ridiculously low price. Not to mention I have a PPK/S that fills that niche and I like it better due to the mag release.
That being said, while I think it's a tad high (not by much and that always depends on where you're located), if it's what you want and it's in excellent condition, I wouldn't hesitate to get it at that price. If it's a couple bucks high, who cares? You wind up with an excellent specimen of a firearm your little heart desires.
I am a bit of a Sig fan, by the way and nabbed a couple in December, myself.

Ive got a 226 and a 238. Love them both. look up the torture test on the 226 on you tube . No wonder why the seals use them !

I like the gun and have one. The price is not a steal but if that is out the door then it's fair with 2 mags. The new version 232 is about $580 from Buds plus transfer fees.

They are scary accurate.:)

First sig is a p239 in 40 S&W, the second was a p6 west german police in 9mm. Love them both. Accurate and just nice to shoot. The p6 actually shoots better than my baretta 92fs. Frank

I've got a P250 in .45 with night sights. I hung a flashlight off the rail and use it for my house gun. It has about the best DAO trigger I've ever played with. It's plenty accurate for it's intended purpose. Sig builds good guns, and if you like it get it!

Decent but not great price. Great gun however. If you like it, buy it. I don't sweat a few bucks anymore when I find something I really like, life is too short.

SIG's are incredible in my opinion, I own several, and they can be "scary accurate" indeed in my experience.

I have a P230SL that was made in 1996, for which I paid $369. So yours doesn't sound like a bad deal. Mine came with black plastic grips, which I didn't like, so I replaced them with Hogue checkered coco-bolo wood grips. Beautiful!
