is there a way to remove the front / rear sights on a sigma 40ve? gander mountain is selling a laser sight that goes on a glock in the rear sight position (one dot is a on/off and the other is the laser), would this fit the sigma? also there is a plastic piece that fits over the firing pin assembly that i cant remove, any suggestions on how to remove this piece. theres a video ( 5 parts) on utube but that guy pretty much just turns the slide upside down and it falls out, not on mine?

Glock rear sight will not fit a Sigma but a Glock fronst sight can be modified to fit. I would pass on the Glock laser. They are a number of offerings for Sigma specific lasers as well.

my main thing is i dont want some bulky, ugly thing on the front of mine, the one i was referring to just looks like a reg rear sight. how do you remove the rear sight anyways?

It just drifts out, like most on these types of guns. I use a 1/4" wooden dowel and hammer. I had to move mine a little to the left.

Check out the crimson trace laser. It doesn't seem very bulky at all, the only problem is it's a little pricey. I'm still saving my pennies in hopes of getting one.

get a guide rod laser. If I'm not mistaken the one for the g19 works. Just use the sigma spring.

No one ever said they were cheap, lol! I'm not a laser fan anyway. they are just too iffy for me.

I guess like anything else, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Here's my 40VE and the laser isn't bulky and doesn't change the ballance whatsoever. It could make it a challenge finding the right holster, but mine's a house gun so I don't care. The laser at night in my house feels real good. I've got other pistols for holster carry.
But there are a number of holster makers that have products for the laser equiped.
While I never weighed it, it's delrin and if it more than 1/2 oz, I'd be supprised.
