Sights?

I am new to the sights/optics thing and was wonder what is a good budget brand to get for my M&P 15-22? I only have pistols so I decided to buy this after reading many reviews. Unfortunately I am dumb to knowing anything about sights/optics. I do know that I like the red/green dot deals. Any help would be nice. Thanks in advance!!!
