Sights??

Its been a while so I figured I would check in again and see if more sight choices have become available. Specifically I am looking for a fiber optic. Even just a fiber optic for the front.. Getting old and that front sight seems to be out about 12 inches and the gun barrel is about 4. Hmmm

As far as I know, no one has waken up to the fact that the Sigma is here to stay. There is a 'Sigma front sight' thread here that has a glock FO going onto a sigma. Other than that, the sight makers still haven't noticed Sigmas.

My shots are more scattered than I like as a noob in IDPA. Part of my issue is shooting too fast but the other part is that I am not really using my front sight. As I looked at it, I can barely see that tiny white dot on the front sight. I painted bright yellow nail polish on the up ramp and it is VERY visible now. Now back to the range to see if that helps.

I wonder if there's a rear aperture sight you could use on a pistol.
Having the same problem you are, and a rear ap., (peep sight), on
my carbine lets me use iron sights again.

You could try opticplanet, but the last I heard they were backordered for the Sigma sight package.
I researched the peep sight angle and dismissed it. As I recall you had to send your slide in and it cost big $$ (for me anyway) and with my failing eyesight it would be a 'crapshoot' as to the results.
You could use the search feature on this forum. Type in Sigma sights and be prepared to read a lot.
So far as I know there is nothing new out there except lasers and they are to expensive for my budget and not my 'bag'.
Midway has some sort of sight package for the Sigma. It may fill your need.
Apparently, there are few aftermarket sights available unless you want to experiment.

This is an interesting article on the HexSight. While they do not yet make it for the Sigma, one may be able to adapt a Glock model. Even tho not available for Sigma, it is an interesting read.

You can drill and install a small fiber optic filiment in to your exsisting front sight. I have done this on many different pistols and air soft practise pistols as well.

I don't remember off the top of my head what brand it is but it was intended for a Glock.... the fiber optic piece is replaceable... I have red, green, and even solid white for that traditional 3-dot look.... there is a thread here somewhere telling about how I installed it.

Boriqua: That is an easy way to go with the Hi-Viz sight. They are inexpensive and will do the trick. If you feel the need for a better sight after you try the Hi-Viz there are many other options out there, and installing the inexpensive Hi-viz is at least practice . The Hi-Viz sight is slightly shorter than the Sigma factory sight.

Ray I followed along on the thread but has anyone fired this gun to see what happens? Im wondering how much that sight hieght difference will affect the POI
