I have a 40G that I bought new in 2001, the green and black one, any way its been loaded pretty much all the time except when I move, 3 states in 3 years, up till last spring I probably had put 200 or 300 rounds thru it, I have beento the range twice and after 50 rounds or so the gun wont feed the last two rounds. I looked at wolf springs and the only springs they show are for the 14 round mags, I bought a 14 round and put the spring in my 10 round and it fits, the dimples stop it at 10.

So my question is, is it the springs in the mag, will the 14 round springs be ok in the 10round mag, don't know why it wouldn't.

The pistol is kept clean, is there anything else that should be checked? I've seem to hear and read conflicting stories about the Sigmas.

Also shoots a bit low and to the right, but that could be me.

Thanks,
Eric

Work OK in mine. Last longer than the screwy 10-round springs that restrict normal spring compression with the solid-wound coils at the bottom. If it is legal where you are, the full capacity magazines work best.

Shooting left or right can be adjusted by drifting the rear sight.

Most likely shoots low and to the right b/c of the heavy trigger pull. Mine does the same.

I'm going to buy another 14 round, and new springs for the 10 round, I've been reading about the trigger and saw that wolf had differtent springs, would a different spring change the pull? I shoot it pretty consistant.

I can compensate and center it up, just don't want to have to do it if its a need to situation, If I'm pointing at the chest I'd rather hit that than nick a leg or the door frame said chest is standing in.

IMHO spring modifications are NOT a good idea for a Sigma used as a defense gun.

Changing the striker spring often results in misfires.
Removing one of the sear springs makes it fail to reset with hot defense loads (think single shot). It will still reset with light range loads, so it is legal for competition.

If you are breaking down when you fire, practice dryfiring and concentrate on holding the gun still.

Just get the correct spring from S&W parts. Also, get rid of those 10 rounders and get the full capacity ones, if legal in your area.
