I understand that the Sigma is Smith's redheaded bastard child, and that nobody wants to make after market parts for an inexpensive gun (I won't say cheap because that would stupidly wrong. They are great guns!). However, is there nothing out there? I'd like a guide rod laser for it. The Sigma is best suited as a home defense gun. Anybody know any sources for any after market accessories?

The only true accessory for the Sigma is the Streamlight M4 light. But, the main problem I have with that is there are NO holsters made, not even duty holsters, to carry the Sigma with the M4 attached. That's why I went with a 3rd Gen G17 and G19 for low light classes, since I just had to order a BladeTech paddle for each of them.

There is a laser advertised that fits the Sigma, which also has a rail on the bottom so you can attach a light below it. Quality wise? Who knows. It's not a well known brand name product, so I'd be a little cautious about laying out my money for it. Also, it would put your light a lot lower than what would be easy to manipulate.

Basically, if you want accessories, you'll have to choose just about any other handgun than a Sigma. Oh, and don't blame the engineers on this one. They fought hard for a standard rail, but upper management thought it was a good idea to go the HK USP route with a one-off rail. That's what you get when you have people who don't know and don't care about guns in charge of making decisions about guns!

Sorry I had to break the bad news. The best thing you can do is to buy a used S&W Tactical model, or something like that, that's more popular, or maybe the M&P. You'll be able to find whatever you need or want that way.

I got a LaserLyte picatinny/weaver rail adapter for my SW9VE. It attaches to the accessory rail and allows you to use lights/lasers other than the Streamlight M4 mentioned above. I use a UTG tactical light with mine and have had no slippage problems.

Hawgleg, I'm surprised Blade-tech couldn't make a holster to order that would fit the Sigma with the light attached. They've don'e special orders for me in the past, although not anything for a light mounted on the gun.

I didn't even bother trying to do a special order holster for the Sigma with the light attached. I made it simple and just got a 3rd Gen Glock. That way, I can buy holsters right out of the catalog without being special orders, and there are piles and piles of accessories, if I ever wanted any.

I'd rather buy a production item instead of dealing with having a holster custom made, especially one that will see a lot of use.

I have been looking for the same holster but i have found a place in Ca. that will make one for you but you have to take the gun to them. So if you are in Ca. sometime look these guys up.

You could also buy the training "red gun" of the Sigma, install your tac light on it, and send it off to them. That way, you don't have to deal with shipping your firearm.

Where can I one of those training guns at?

I just did a search, and there's a problem. All of Asp's training red guns for the Sigma are either the "F" or "V" models, without the equipment rail.

Sorry I got your hopes up.

How did you get a 3rd generation Glock in Massachusetts? I wasn't aware that it was even possible to do that.
