I saw there are two different sigmas available on the smith website.. Whats the difference between the two?

No difference except the G stands for Government Model (aside from green frame)...M&P's also have off standard color (brown) for their full size 45 model
 
Since we are on the subject. What does the "VE" stand for? lol
 
The "G" in the model designation stands for "green". The frame on "G" models are an olive drab green color. The "E" in the model designation stands for "Enhanced". The previous generation used the model designations of SW9V or SW40V. The most recent (current) generation use the designations of SW9VE or SW40VE.
