My son is a Marine and he has just been re-deployed from Iraq to Afghanistan to beef up the training cadres there.
One of his jobs is running a range for training Army and Police recruits.
He will be in charge of the guys in charge of the guns used in their training. He is not an armorer nor was the guy he is replacing. Guess nothing ever changes in the military does it?
They have the original issue Sigma 9mms for sidearms training.
The Marines that my son's unit is replacing reported they had lots of stove pipe failures.
I am looking for suggestions or hints that I can give him to help with this problem.
I am sure there is no possibility of these guns being just plain worn out or dirty... Yeh right!!
Anyway, any help would be deeply appreciated.
Got any ideas?
