Sorry if this info is out there somewhere, I searched and read as much as I could on this forum without finding what I was looking for before posting this question.

I recently added a Laserlyte Picatinney rail adapter to my SW9VE for a laser/flashlight combo.

I want to find a holster that would accept the Sigma with just the rail adapter. The laser/light is easy enough to remove but the rail adapter is a pain. I don't plan on carrying it with the laser/light, that's just for home defense. But I do want to carry it without having to take of the adapter.

Do I have any options other than a generic nylon holster? I have an nylon holster for it now and it's junk, i'd like a leather holster, OWB preferable but at this point I'll consider anything.

Anybody have any suggestions?

(mods please merge threads if this is already covered somewhere - thx)

Peruse the gun boards and find someone who makes kydex holsters. I know a few people who dabble in kydex and the cost is not prohibitive. If you find someone they will need your gun and the adapter, unless they have access to a similar set up, but they can mold one exactly the way you want it. You might even be able to get them to make you a run of them and then you could sell them here on S&W Forum.

I bought a Fobus GLT19... works great. Made just for what you're wanting, and i only paid $24.99 for mine. Granted, its made for a glock, and its plastic, not leather, but fits my SW40VE perfect ;)

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't think the Fobus will work unless they have molded it to include the rail adapter (?) - that's the main issue with fitment, that extra space needed for the rail adapter adds an inch or so to the bottom of the frame out front.

I have a Fobus paddle for my LCP and love it, but I don't think it would work in this case.

I'll look into the Kydex option, thanks mlk18.

Pittshooter, the one that i have is open... the whole botttom of the gun is exposed. Sorry for the lack of term knowledge, but there is a rubber "nub" at the bottom of the holster, the barrel sits on it, then you snap the gun up in to the holster and secure the thumb break. the rail is exposed even without anything attached. I can upload a picture of mine tonight after i get off work if you like. It is specifically designed to hold a gun with a laser or flashlight attached

Great info mfd - thanks! I'll see if I can find a GLT19 and try it out. I looked up a few and it looks like they might work.

TDR that looks like it would fit, but can that particular holster be bought without the laser?

Pittshooter. MLK18 has the best idea. I make Kydex holsters. You can have just about any holster you want made, but the maker will need the gun and adapter you have chosen to get the proper fit. I have several Sigma pistols, so I would only need the adapter to come up with the proper mold. If you can't find anyone local to make it for you, or a ready made that you like, let me know and maybe I can help you out.

Here is mine... just in case you're wondering how a laser or flashlight would work...

PittShooter: I have the GLT 19 in stock as well and I also make Kydex holsters in house. I will get a Laserlyte Picatinney rail adapter and check if it fits. I am sure it will if not I can make one for you . PM me if you are interested.

^ That GLT-19 looks like it would definitely work - that empty space below should be plenty of room. Thanks TDR - thats a big help to do the test fit!!!

Thanks for the links too guys, the TDR911 Kydex model looks like it would also fit the bill. Now just time to make a choice...one or both!
