I like to have a good holster for all of my guns, and I'm having some difficulty finding one for my new SW40VE. The only things I can find available are the Fobus paddles and the Uncle Mike's nylon (or similar). Is there something better available? I like paddle holsters but I wouldn't mind a nice belt holster in case I ever wanted to carry it.

Check Don Hume leathergoods for the H721OT.

I carry my fullsize M&P in one all day. Very strong, reasonably priced and looks sharp to boot!

Good luck.

I carry mine in a Don Hume H726. its marked as being for the .40 Sigma F but fits my VE 9mm like a glove.

I use a Nevada Gun Leather belt slide marked for an XD, but it fits the Sigma perfect. No movement in the holster and the trigger is covered.

I have a fobus paddle and it works well enough but I couldn't recommend it. It some how was working out of belt while riding my motorcycle and when I got home it was nearly ready for the whole rig to bounce along the highway. This might be inherent with paddles but the paddle part of the fobus is super soft. I'm sure its designed to be less irritating but if you are going to move around a bit like you would on a motorcycle with a slight lean forward .. it was a problem.

I have had other blade tech stuff and if you want to go plastic you cant beat it.

That Kholster has to make you sweat like no ones business no? I see your in MI but I am in AZ and I am sweating just looking at the website.

actually I had a Kholster for a couple of different guns and it worked quite well. It didn't make me sweat as I thought it might...it was very comfortable.

My SW40F is resting in a H715M W.C. at this moment. I also have a 715M S.O. for my 442. I have been satisfied with Don Hume products.

I have a few Hume holsters and love them. I think they are nearly the equal of any other leather company out there.

Best part was when i used to be able to get the factory seconds. An ugly stitch or a slight gouge in the leather and they priced them half off. Can't beat that.

I just recieved this one from Desantis (except in Black) for my 40VE. So far I like it the most between this and my other "Triple K" belt slide.........

For IWB I like the Galco Summer Comfort. For OWB it's pretty much your call on the style you're looking for.
I have a Bianchi duty holster and a Galco-similar to the Desantis shown above. OWB is the easier group to find. So far every post has a holster with much merit. Find a large sportuing good shop and look, look and look some more till you find the ones you want to buy and get the one you think will work the best.
Have fun - so far I have 6 different holsters for my pistol. I like, use and wear all but one of them so far.
I really dislike the cheap, nylon-"one size fits all models" holsters that have the mag pouches on the front.

Good luck!

Go to the web and look up Black Hawk holsters. I got one for my SW9VE and love it. Goes anywhere between 25 abd 45 bucks.

I bought a Blackhawk Serpa for my M&P9c and the label said fits Sigma as well - and it does, perfectly. It has both paddle and belt loop opptions.
