hello, i'm new to the forum as you can tell by this being my first post. i've been all over the web trying to find an answer to this issue. first off i have a good working knowledge of firearms, but i am mainly a long gun person and this is my first Sigma, not first handgun. I have a Kimber .45 and XD-9. i received this in a trade. i thought it was unique in that it is a
.357 Sig Sigma. i got it from a personal friend whom assured me he fired several hundred rounds thru it without a hitch. first thing i noticed was the light trigger pull when i dry fired it. i have fired a Sigma before which had a very heavy pull. well when i finally took it out today to shoot, it didn't go bang. as matter of fact, i couldn't tell any difference in trigger pull loaded or unloaded. one round has very light fp marks on primer, but none of the others. also is this a first generation pistol and where can i find replacement parts? i'm sure this is a fp malfunction, but can't seem to find one thru usual connections. thanks for your time.

Even though you did not purchase it new S&W has a lifetime warranty. Simply call them or LSG and they will send you a shipping label to fedex it to them. For parts midwayusa has them. Just get parts for a 40v or ve and you are good to go. I would still just send it to S&W though.

LGS

1st off welcome to the forum.......as for LGS is LOCAL GUN SHOP...as for the light primer hit could very well be the striker firing pin ( i had 1 do the same and mine was broke) i have 2 sigmas and love them ........ call S&W @ 1-800-331-0852 ....ext,7 .............good luck.scott

thanks scott for the info. so is mine a first generation? cannot find much info on the 357 Sig Sigma

I would call it a second generation. .357sig sigmas are rare. If you ever get tired of the cost of the 357 sig ammo you can buy a .40 barrel for a sigma .40 and drop it right in. Oh and then sell me your .357 sig barrel:)

LGS is local gun store

LSG is LSG and Frank Smith an Authorized S&W repair center

yea..i to will buy you .357 sig barrel...hell i would even trade you for my 40 cal barrel

got the Sigma back from S&W. works like a charm. trigger is smooth, but a bit heavy, just like a Model 19. shooting down and left with Winchester White box. right on the money with Hornady XTP 125 gr. the paper said they replaced the stryker assembly. now to get a .40 barrel.
