I got a 9mm sigma in trade and read everything about the horrid trigger. I just took the gun out to the range yesterday and I LOVED it. I was able to put a mag into a 1.5 circel with no problems at 21 and 35 feet. Double taps didnt go there but right in center mass with little effort and two to the body and one to the head was a breeze. Im a big XD fan and own three and have owned three others. Great guns and I think a little better built but cant put my finger on it .. but

While the trigger on the sigma is a heavy pull ... its not the pull that bothers me .. its the long pickup before the snap on the xd's and glocks that kind of makes it a little sloppy. the sigma has very little pick up and then SNAP.

I was looking for a new bedside handgun to replace a revolver I had there. i just like the idea of a heavier pull on the night stand so when you jump up in the night confused because you have been sleeping I dont want to inadvertantly pop a shot and the sigma trigger fits the bill but

The defined not mushy little pickup trigger had me shooting great yesterday. 120 rounds down range. I kind of want to go out and get anew one now!

They sure are great guns for the money. They go bang every time and the trigger is not horrid as described by some. I bought a 9ve when they were 1st on sale for 300 with 2 extra mags at Gander Mtn. My son liked it and bought a 40 with the laser sight later.

Exactly.
It's become fashionable to diss the Sigma, but I really like mine. Reliable, lightweight, nearly rust proof. I just shot the Hell put of mine, dry fired it some, and the trigger is fine now. A real bargain.

I traded a gp100 and got a Sigma 9ve with 4 16 round mags, trijicon sights, 150 rds of range ammo and 32 rds of hollow points. I feel pretty good about the deal but more importantly I really enjoyed shooting the gun and call me crazy but .. I liked the trigger!

I have a Sigma 40 and there is nothing wrong with the trigger. In all, it's a great, reliable, consistent, and excellent gun.

I use a Mika IWB and I actually load my Sigma with Winchester's famed 127-gr +P+ RA9TA load - it averages 1400 fps from this gun. That's .357 Mag country, amigo!

Count me as another who loves their Sigma! Mine's a 9VE and I carry it in a High Noon Holster and have it loaded with Federal HST 124gr+p. Not sure how fast this load is out of my gun though. I like the trigger as well. It feels like a DA revolver trigger to me and I actually like it more than my M&P!

My 9ve is relatively new and so far I have only used ball ammo at the range........looking for a reliable carry round.....any FTE's or otherissues using the Winchester rounds ?

thanks

I like both of my Sigma's just fine. One of my SW40GVE's is my daily carry gun. I never leave home without it.

Pops, my Sigma has been utterly reliable with everything, including the RA9TA 127-gr +P+ about which you asked. As you are voicing concern about reliability with your gun and various rounds, you (of course) will know that you have to try your gun with any given ammo before you can be assured they will work together.

TDR, I would say that's true only after the mid-'90s redesign.

I have a 9V I bought new in the 90's with thousands of rounds down range and still going strong. You will enjoy yours.

Sigma thrill

Well, I got one recently and I, too, love this gun! I do not mind the trigger pull, and it shoots well. I was trying to pop a can that we had set up at 50 yards for the .22, and I was hitting within about a foot (gauged by the dirt kicked up around it). If I were a better shot I would have hit it consistently. I have only fired Federal 115 gr FMJ through it, but this without a hitch.
