I go to the range a lot and one of the things they ask when the line goes cold is the bolt back and since our girls are all black they cant tell so I stick my finger in the chamber to show em.

Well if you ever had you finger get slammed by a bolt ( my dad's garand ) you know that hurts, so I made a adapter out of a spent shell drilled the center out and added a brass screw and epoxied the shell on a small piece of wood I painted, I am also going to epoxy a piece of rubber to the end to protect the bolt more if the bolt slams home.

btw it didn't take me that long to make this and total cost was $ 0.

Our gun club gives all new members a chamber flag when they join and sell additional ones for $1.00

Neither ranges here use them and I didnt want to buy one on amazon and besides its not as much fun as making one, and it looks cool to :D

Good homebrew. Now all you need is some nice green chartreuse paint on the wood. Well that is also the rule at the one outdoor range I go to, they never check that closely, and you are not allowed to touch your gun (or anything else on the bench) while the range is cold.
