Simply Rugged pic request...post 'em up if you get time.

Man. I admire you guys that carry three to four pounds of gun junk and "forget you have it on." My back hurts just thinking about it!

A good holster and a belt made as a gun belt make all the difference. A belt from the Beltman or Simply Rugged distributes the weight around your whole waist.
Many people cring at paying $75 for a belt but it's money well spent.

I'm really looking forward to these holsters & belt.

I'd live to have added the floral or Celtic Knot but that wasn't in the budget this time. I will add that on a future 1911 holster...I can see this coming down the road after hunting season ends.

Here's one I have for a 6 1/2" Ruger S.A. Keith/Lawrence model with cartridge slide. BTW Rob is a really straight-up guy - he threw in the cartridge slide for free b/c he got the belt slot wrong on my first holster. I had ordered a 3" slot for an El Paso Saddlery belt I already had, and he had the replacement holster to me in less than 10 days with the slide for free.

I had a Simply Rugged for my 6" 629 and I love the holster; I gave to good friend as he had no holster for his M29 and was uncertain about the whole concept. I ordered mine with the inside-out straps and really liked them for the added versatility. Great holsters at a great price and very fast shipping.

I ordered about a week and a half ago. They said delivery in about 4 weeks. I got them this past monday. Can't beat that. The hosters are well made and should last a long time.I'm a happy camper.

That is some fast action on their part!!!!

What all did you get?

Any pics yet?

They worked pretty fast on my order.....recieved my leather in less than 3 weeks!

Everything fits really well.

Those look nice. Here's a pic of my real basic Sourdough Pancake for a 2 5/8" 629.

Here's a 5" J Frame in a Silver Dollar Pancake.

I've been wearing a Simply Rugged belt daily for over two years now. It looks and wears great. I especially like that it fills a belt loop up and is stout enough to not flex when wearing a heavy gun. Honest wear only makes it look better. Rob is a good guy.

Simply Rugged Holsters

Here is my 640-1 in it's SR Pancake Holster with a belt slide to carry extra rounds...this is my most carried assembly and I typically use the "real man's belt" from SR.

Here is my 686 next to it's SR Pancake Holster. It is shown with the optional IWB loops, but I seldom carry this one due to it's size. I never carry it IWB so I took the belt loops off. It does hold the gun very securely...I highly recommend SR products! B

You guys are great! Thanks very much.
dye transfer; neutral shoe polish or paste wax. I top coat the heck out of that leather to prevent that, but it happens. The wife uses oxi-clean and it removes it on my work clothes. Still working on a better solution for you all.
Thanks,

Rob

I have 3...a "Loaded Pancake" for my 6" 686+ (the closest I'll come to a barbecue rig), a "120" for my 6" 617, and a "Cuda" for my M&P40c (I got it with the IWB straps but have since taken them off):

Not pictured is a mag pouch for my M&P40c. I don't think you'll find a better built holster, price not withstanding.

Jimmy, that Cuda sure looks nice. I just ordered one for my 4586 and should have it in a couple of weeks or so. I didn't get the IWB straps for it because I got a UBG IWB holster that is very nice. I have a feeling I will use the Cuda more often for comfort. I use a Sourdough Pancake with a snub 686 very often under just an untucked too shirt and it works great.

Heres my Taurus 85UL in a Simply Rugged Siver Dollar Pancake Holster. I carry my 442 in it also. Rob makes a nice "Rugged" holster!!!

Have a Simply Rugged for a 3 inch N-Frame

Very nicely embossed with fish scale design. Just has slots for right hand strong side carry. Also has a matching carrier for speed strips. Very good almost un-used condition. A $90.00 rig that I will sell for $60.00. Let me know at [email protected]. I can supply a picture if interested.

This makes my second Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake Holster. I have one for my Taurus 85UL. It is pictured in an above post.

I just received a new holster today from Rob. It will be used once in a while for my 442. I have several brands of holster for all my guns. My favorites are the Simply Rugged and the ones I have from Lobo Gun Leather. Both makers are ACES and great guys to deal with.

Here is a shot of my 4586 in it's new Simply Rugged Cuda. The holster is fantastic. It fits and looks great in every way. I got it in less then 2 weeks too. This will be my primary cold weather carry and maybe warm weather too. I have not tried it under a light shirt yet, but if it holds tight to the body like all my other Simply Rugged holsters it will work fine.
