Hi:
Is there a tool for assisting the removal of a Single Action Revolver Cylinder Base Pin?
Where can I obtain one?
Thank you,
Jimmy

Jimmy,

A properly fit pin should come out with your hand........

That said, a small pair of pliers with a piece of leather to protect the pin will work just fine. Be careful not to scratch the gun with the pliers when it pulls out. You can dedicate a pair pf pliers to the task by epoxying a set of leather pads to it, and it will always be ready for use.

We shoot at least 8 Rugers in every SASS match so taking at least one apart for one reason or another is common, especially to clean out crud when shooting black powder. We also take them apart to clean after every match. You can buy a tool but I took a small screwdriver sized nail puller and opened up the "V" notch to exactly fit the base pin. It works very well and the "nail pull" lever angle pops the pin right out.
