Hey gang. Been off line for awhile due to some family issues and back online. I've been carrying for over 5 years now and hate to say I am loving the convenience of pocket carrying an lcp.

Started out with a 37 no dash but couldn't hit a barn even if I threw the gun. I lucked into a LCR-X that you could pocket carry and hit a target with. Loved the white front sight and grip.

My wife decided she had enough of my baggy comfort jeans and got me some thin style fashion jeans - I think it was cheaper to dress me up then search for a new husband!

The smith and ruger just didn't fit and you could see the grip no matter what I tried - the jeans do look nice but I miss the old huge pockets baggy style.

I decided to look at a smaller gun and picked the lcp- what a great gun. Super light, reliable and I'm getting better with it at the range. Carries like a cell phone and is so easy to carry.

I now carry that everywhere and cannot think of going back to the snub mainly because in thin jeans, suit coat, dress pants even a swimsuit the gun in my remora pocket holster works great!

So anyone else succumb to the ease of carry of a picket .380 or small gun?

I find myself liking my LCP more each time I pocket carry it too. I used to carry my G30 year round IWB. Starting using the LCP as a BUG after the terror attacks in the U.S. Even bought spare mags and feel totally confident with that little .380 on me solo.
Have over 600 rounds thru it. Very good gun. Just gotta break them in.

I used to carry an LCP but recently sold it. I like to fire at least a mag of carry ammo on each range trip and the LCP had become painful to shoot due to some arthritis in my right hand. I replaced it with a Glock 42 which is a bit larger but much more comfortable to shoot. I can go through several boxes of ammo with no pain and the bigger gun is more accurate, at least for me. Carries with no issues in a Sticky Holster.

I stayed away from pocket carry for ten years. You can't draw from your pocket if you are sitting down. I finally brought a revolver that I have been wanting for many years. An NAA Sidewinder. The thing shoots pretty well, I was very surprised when I took it to the range. Now I carry it everywhere in my pocket. It's my little friend. It draws quickly and you can cock the hammer in a snap. I still carry a 9mm IWB or a 380 in my vest pocket. I have a Ruger LC9s, which is great accept for the thumb safety and the magazine safety and I have a SIG P-238 which is a honey accept for the thumb safety. I'm really thinking about getting a new gun that remedies these little problems. Something I can yank and shoot without having to thumb the safety.

I carried a variety of J frames for well over 40 years before buying an M&P (no laser) .380 last February. Now after 600 + rounds of flawless FMJ & hollow points it's become my EDC in my pocket. I use a Galco horsehide holster and it works in my jeans, shorts & dress slacks. These little guns can be picky but when you find one that runs 100% you'll be hooked by the ease of carry.

I pocket carried a 642 Airweight often. It's been replaced with a Sig P938.

I've pocket carried a LCP for years now. I keep it ready to go in a Galco pocket protector. Running to the store? Can't beat the convenience of grabbing it and dropping it in my pocket. I've got the early one with hard chrome slide and it still looks new.
If not at work I live in cargo pants and shorts. Love the comfort and big pockets. I can pocket carry my Glock 26, but not comfortably.

... I think it was cheaper to dress me up then search for a new husband!
This is a perfect example of the difference between then and than.

At least I hope you meant than... :p

No pocket carry siren singing to me. I don't own a gun small enough or a pocket big enough to ever carry that way. Right now I'm sitting in starbucks with a Sig Carry Nightmare 1911 in a belt holster. The gun is reliable and effective, and the Lobo Enhanced Pancake holster is comfortable.

Good points

Yep when my son went off to college the honey do list went thru the roof. Her favorite shows are extreme make over so once we redid the house room by room she turned her attention on me! New clothes and we joined a gym together -lost some weight and being diabetic my blood sugar is down below 110 for several weeks now.

And yes than not then. 😀

For pocket carry the holster I pick is a remora - cost me $20 and American made. Very good quality.

Thought about a smith to match my full size but I got the ruger after I had such a good experience with the lcr.

Nope. Never like it. Can't stand anything bulky in the front pockets. Also don't care for little guns. Grips are too small and not comfortable to hold onto when practicing. I prefer something in semi auto, full size or compact and iwb

I carry a Kahr .380 all the time. Depending on my plans for the day, I will supplement with a Glock 19 or my S&W model 15. Around the place, I carry a KelTec PRM 30 for ground squirrels and feral cats.

Been pocket carrying the LCP for 5 years and it's just too convenient. I've got over a case of ammo through mine now and I'm almost as good with it up to 18 ft as I am with my Sigs and better with it than the S&W 3913 but I attribute that to familiarity. Farther away and things start to break down.

It's broken in nicely and quick trigger take-up is just muscle memory now. I've never had any problems with the "snappiness" others have reported but then I use a Pachmyer sleeve on the grip with the pinky floor plate. Has never misfired, failed to feed or eject a round. I did add heavier Wolff springs and had sights installed and slide refinished as found here: SIGHT UPGRADE | Innovative Arms Silencers

Great pocket carry weapon in a simple DeSanti.

LCP all day.... from the time I put on my pants until bedtime. And that's what it's all about for me. I figure if I'm going to carry then I should have it on me regardless if I'm snoozing on the couch or walking downtown. I'm simply not willing to do that with my larger guns, and I ain't going to play around arming and disarming myself throughout the day as I go in and out of the house. I know how that works... ya walk out the house without it. It's only to the store... just to the mailbox, quick walk down the street... on and on and on.... no thanks.

7yds.
Minute of bad guy works for me.
I use a DeSantis Nemesis holster.

Lately I have been carrying a M442 Pro Series Airweight (.38 Special +P) in a Galco pocket holster. Works fine in my Wrangler jeans. Sometimes I carry a Kel-Tec P-11 9mm, but in an ActiveProGear DeepConcealment Shoulder Holster.

Sight upgrade is $150.00+shipping, think I'll keep the shootouts under 10 ft. Any farther and some liberal prosecutor will twist it from self defense to premeditated.
Besides, I paid $169.00 shipped for my raspberry baby. After carrying it for 3 months the color doesn't bother me anymore.
