SKS prices are coming down: Like new 1966 vintage Chinese SKS $300.... Now with Pic!

Now with picture, got the sling yesterday from an Ebay vendor in China, $8.00 with free shipping. They must have millions of slings and chest bandoliers in China, and no one to buy them there.

Looks like a score to me.

All or most of these sks's are rearsenalled and unissued in most cases.
The well worn Chinese sks's some were war bring backs not all of them.
The well used yugo m59' s were made into 59/66's. Some m59' s were refurbished and sent here.

My gun shop had stacks of Chinese sks's, Russian sks's, Russian ak47' s and brand new Russian Mosin m44' s. I wish I purchased the ak47.

The SKS rifle is one of the best semi-auto rifles you can shoot in 7,62x39 Russian. It's dependable, reliable and accurate. It's more accurate than most ak/akm rifles in 7,62x39 Russian. These are fun plinkers, hunting rifles or just having fun shooting empty soda cans.

The brand new Russian izmash Saiga ak/akm in our 308Winchester will shoot 1 1/2" groups @ 100yds benchrested using surplus south African 308 ball ammo. I never benchrested a Saiga in 223 yet but it appears to be very accurate too.

With any of these awesome affordable fun shooters the key thing to having them last and not wear out is cleaning and maintenance. Make sure you lube the recoil springs and guides. I lube the gas piston and OP rod too with just a little moly. Since these have chrome lined bores and chambers these should out last the receivers. I feel lubing all the metal to metal contact moving parts with moly they should last as long as the chrome lined bore and chamber does.

Got a few and really like them. Fun and cheap to shoot. Added a Tech Sight peep to a as new Yugo and with the right ammo it is very accurate. Course I am a sucker for all those milsurps!

[OTE=federali;138070918]I acquired one maybe ten years ago when they could be had for $99.00 plus tax. It was a fun gun and reliable but terribly inaccurate. I had it beaten into a plowshare.[/QUOTE]

Some of the different brands of ammo made these inaccurate. There surplus imported ammO was .310" and up to .3115" diameter our ammO here was .308" diameter.
