Bought a slide fire and I'm only able to get 2 or 3 round burst. What mods do I need to make to achieve a full magazine dump? New trigger? If so, what kind as where do I find it? I'm new to the gun, but are there any other things I can do myself without involving a gunsmith?
Thanks.

I've heard the best results are acheieved with a 1-3lb trigger pull and some outfit the barrell with an end that helps with the rifles kickback to the slidefire stock. The trigger slide fire recommends is awesome but a little pricey, but I would start there before looking to see if the barrell end is needed.

I have the slide fire on mine as well but I'm still waiting on my trigger. From the research that I've done, you don't need that muzzle device and the Jard 1.5 or 2 lb. single stage trigger seems to run the gun the best.

I think it's just a matter of getting the feel for it once you have your gun set up properly. Just enough forward force to make the gun run and not so much that it can't recoil enough.

so did you guys try the jard or the cmc. I just got my 15-22 slide fire is showing up Sat. Gonna try it with no mods first.

Hoping for the best. It's a present for my son.

Get the jard and read the thread that is titled jard trigger. It's on the front page still. The jard is cheaper, works great, and comes with everything you need. Unlike the other triggers. I have it on my 15 22 / Slide Fire

I ended up using the Timney trigger and KNS pins. It will shoot 10-15 rounds, but I am having a few FTF. The shell is being hit, I can see the dimple from the strike, but no Boom. I have to manually eject and it's good to go again.

Any tips?

My 50 round drum should be shipping out in the next 7 days and I would love to burn a few boxes of CCI before returning to single fire (ammo hoarding). Finding any kind of ammo in the Nashville area is impossible.

I think you've either got bad ammo or you are getting light primer strikes. The hammer spring in your trigger may be too weak. I believe some people have taken the firing pin spring and cut a couple of coils off to weaken it enough that the hammer can push the firing pin into your ammo with a little more force. I'd do a little research and maybe order a backup before I started cutting on my only firing pin spring. I have a Jard and the hammer spring on it is very strong.

Do a search on firing pin spring and firing pin.

Mine will dump 25 rounds over and over.
