If I want to send hard to find ammunition down range with little chance of hitting a target, I invite a couple of the neighbor kids to go shooting with me. That way I can at least accomplish something besides simply making empty brass.

Ammo is expensive... The fun of full auto, or simulated full auto in this case, diminishes quickly. After you rip through a mag or two, you are over it...

Also, if you are going to do this and do mag dump after mag dump, this would be the only time that I would say, without a doubt, get a Colt or some other TDP compliant, mil-spec type rifle. You will want the heavier carrier and buffer designed for this type of use. The 4150 steel in the barrel is not a bad thing either.

I wanted one when I first got an AR.

Then I grew up and got over it. It has no use beyond the cool factor and my AR is a tool. Not a "cool tool", but an effective tool none the less.

Hay, I got the slide fire when it first came out. I used it several times, yes it's cool but it's in its box sitting on a shelf as we speak!

I have One with a 100rd Drum Mag and I think it's really fun! Do I use it every time I shoot?...Nope.Is it fun to shoot a full Auto every now and then without all the Red tape....Yep.To answer the OP's question,It is VERY easy to use.

Wonderful product if you have a bottomless pit full of ammo or money to purchase said ammo. It might be cheaper to start a nice crack habit.

ok ....

comments noted. to most , i DO also believe the slide fire stock and all other clones are a novelty item . i didnt plan to go war with one !

my inquiry was to the point , how easy to use and adding in the after thought that it would be very much fun to use . and rolling over in my mind , who might later pin point this stock and make very hard or impossible to purchase one . lets just say if you think you would want one for the price offered , do so or later regret that you did not !
if i do get one , it would not be used that often ..... its there if you want to have some fun , at the going rate of ammo , of course.

to o5 carbon , you DID answer the basic question about ease of use , thanks .
