I bought my MP9 last month and have about 200 rds through it.
It has been cleaned 4 times with no problem.
This morning I planned to clean it from yesterdays use.
I can't get the slide lock to engage. Thought I was doing something wrong but I am following the book.
It appears as tho the lock will not move up far enough to engage the slide.
Any suggestions or thoughts as to what I may be doing wrong or how I might fix it.

TIA

How are you trying to get the slide stop engaged: manually or with an empty magazine? If with a magazine, the magazine follower is most likely not engaging the slide stop properly. Plastic followers can be worn. Magazines can be taken apart and reassembled improperly. After-market magazines are seldom as reliable, too.

So the slide stop won't move up into the notch in the slide under thumb pressure with the slide retracted? If so, maybe the sear lever is out of position. Beats me ... Good luck!

insert a empty mag and then pull the slide back to lock it in place.... Maybe you pushed the sear deactivator down, then released the slide forward? If so, then that might do it.... But just insert a empty mag then pull the slide back, it should lock open for you..Once it locks open, then remove mag, push sear deactivator down, push the rotating lock down lever down and pull the slide forward to remove it...
