Of course, gentlemen, when asked if you prefer blondes or brunettes, there is only one logical, and chivalrous, response: yes. But I'm taking a vote anyway.

I recently posted looking for advice on how to cut down 3913 grips for my CS9, since TercGen seems to be taking a break. I didn't have a lot of confidence I could do a neat job, but was willing to try. Fortunately. Wyo-man offered me a set of TercGens he had at cost. Serendipitously, they had a curved backstrap, from a 3906 I think, which was my preference.
Just put them on today, and love the look and feel.

I also recently bought a complete parts kit for the CS-9, figuring it would be good to have parts on hand since they no longer make these little jewels. The parts kit was from a stainless CS9, while mine is a blued version. (I live in California, and had to shop for a CS9 for a long time due to our ridiculous gun laws, so when I got the chance to buy a BNIB, never shot blued CS9 in the original box, I jumped at it, even though i would have preferred stainless.)

Thanks to the recent Supreme Court ruling in Bruen, I have a CCW application pending, and I think they are going to have to issue it to me, whether they want to or not (they don't want to).
The stainless parts kit gives rise to the possibility of a two-tone. Given the reputation of the 3rd gen blued finish for not being very durable, this seems like a good idea for carry.

Below, I have two pictures of my slimmed down CS9 with the curvy backside, one platinum blonde and one brunette. What do you guys think?

I like the slim, curvy blond. I don't have a CS9, only pair of salt and pepper CS40s, so I'd have to buy a holster to keep her close.

I'd opt for another IWB Don Hume H715-M WCS for conceal carry. I have a few for a variety of my CCWs.

Umm, let us know if they start talking to you. Or sensuously whispering to you. Right "JohnHL" ???? :D ("Hail to the Chief".)

Seriously they are both nice additions and big improvements. Glad it worked out well.

Funny you should mention that. The blonde is already whispering in my ear about making the carpet match the drapes. I guess I could get the black anodized frame Cerakoted stainless color or something, but I hate to mess with it when the original finish is pristine. I think I am going to carry it two-tone.

Another thought has occured to me. The stainless slide has the ambi safety, while the black one is one side only for right handers. I understand one of the hardest parts of doing the decocker only conversion is getting the ambi safety part. So maybe I will set up the stainless slide for decocker only, and keep the black one original. I love the decocker only on my Sigs, and would like all my DA/SA's to be set up that way.

The correct answer is curvy Redhead!
As far as your gorgeous CS9, curvy, although both work.

My CS9 is a blond and my 3914 is a brunette; the '14 seems more long and leggy, the CS a bit shorter but rounded in all the right places...and I am torn every time I need to make a choice.

So I usually default to a 4513 which is the same size (height and length) as the 3914 and the same width as the CS9 and it's and makes a bigger hole.

(Full Disclosure -- I'm in the clear minority of the folks who doesn't mind the original Hogue grips on the CS9, but maybe that's because that's what I'm used to on it. Some 3914-thin grips on it could change my mind, though.)

Thanks for reposting it again John. I couldn't figure out to how plus it wasn't mine originally to restart.

The problem I've had is none of them, regardless of the cosmetic or caliber option changes I gave them will ever be happy until they "go under the knife." Starting out mildly plump to athletically fit to anorexic/heroin chic. Just really hard figuring them out.

Thanks again "guzzitaco".

Jim
