Of course, gentlemen, when asked if you prefer blondes or brunettes, there is only one logical, and chivalrous, response: yes. But I'm taking a vote anyway.
I recently posted looking for advice on how to cut down 3913 grips for my CS9, since TercGen seems to be taking a break. I didn't have a lot of confidence I could do a neat job, but was willing to try. Fortunately. Wyo-man offered me a set of TercGens he had at cost. Serendipitously, they had a curved backstrap, from a 3906 I think, which was my preference.
Just put them on today, and love the look and feel.
I also recently bought a complete parts kit for the CS-9, figuring it would be good to have parts on hand since they no longer make these little jewels. The parts kit was from a stainless CS9, while mine is a blued version. (I live in California, and had to shop for a CS9 for a long time due to our ridiculous gun laws, so when I got the chance to buy a BNIB, never shot blued CS9 in the original box, I jumped at it, even though i would have preferred stainless.)
Thanks to the recent Supreme Court ruling in Bruen, I have a CCW application pending, and I think they are going to have to issue it to me, whether they want to or not (they don't want to).
The stainless parts kit gives rise to the possibility of a two-tone. Given the reputation of the 3rd gen blued finish for not being very durable, this seems like a good idea for carry.
Below, I have two pictures of my slimmed down CS9 with the curvy backside, one platinum blonde and one brunette. What do you guys think?
