Smith 638

Hey Guys, I'm getting ready to pick up another airweight. I'm leaning heavy towards the 638 but would prefer it in the matte black. Does Smith not make this gun in blue anymore? Have they ever made it in matte black like the 442? Or am I over looking it? Thanks

I didn't realize a 438 option existed - happy hunting! I've been enjoying my 638 for almost five years now.

Bud's still has them in stock for a very good price.

Yep, Bud's has a good price on the 438, picked one up last friday from the fun shop, 70 rounds later it is a keeper. Workmanship is very good on mine, the first "lock" smith I have ever owned despite all the sometimes negative thoughts on this system, I had to have it to replace my M38 while it is off to S&W for some repair. Nothing feels better in the pocket than a J frame! jb

Buds had some no locks. I bought a 642 no lock a couple of weeks ago.
