It's been several months later, has anyone heard anything concerning the whereabouts of the elusive 43C? The 351C has escaped from the factory, but still awaiting the 43C. thx
 
Bump! I tried using the search function, but it repeatedly force-closes the browser on my Droid. Anyone hear if the 43C ever left the factory or not? Maybe it has and I'm just living under a rock :/ I tried google, didn't come up with anything useful though.
 
Bumping up to see if there's any new info. The 43c is listed on S&W's site . . .
 
Frustrating...43C

Seemingly, S&W has all the components to make this gun. Yet, it continues to be on indefinite hold. I'm encouraged that there was a part number change. Hopefully, that means they haven't forgot about launching the product. For a gun that hasn't launched, it appears to be one of S&W's more popular revolvers.
 
The person I spoke with at S&W today said that he wasn't sure if they were going to come out with the 43C because of expected low volume of sales.
 
I was thinking about fitting a M317 cylinder to my 351C.
 
43c

is it possible to use 22lr ammo in the model 351c magnum ?
 
Never shoot .22lr in a .22mag gun - it's dangerous to the gun and shooters health.
 
I talked with S&W at the NRA show this weekend, said the first 100 went to distributors late last week, should be on dealer shelves by end of this week.
 
It's funny how different S&W employees give different answers on the topic. You'd think S&W would get the story consistent . . .
 
I just got off the phone with S&W and he said that only 6 model 43Cs have been made, and the batch will be made within the next two weeks.

That's too bad, I would have bought one to go with my 351C, 442, 642, and 940... I've always got room for another Centennial.
 
Just an FYI. I'm highy interested in getting this gun so I called up S&W today to get the skinny. After being on hold for a good 15-20 minutes, I kindly asked the guy about the 43C. At first he was like, "43 what?". lol! He then looked it up in the system after I provided him the SKU and he noted that there were over 600 pre-orders and that they plan on going into daily production in December. Do you guys think I should pre-order now? Or just call back mid-December and make sure they are being produced?
